Home > Spanish Courses > Courses > Golden Age Golden Age Course designed for students older than 50, who wish to learn Spanish as well as getting to know more about Spanish customs, traditions and lifestyle. 20 morning lessons per week (Monday to Friday) are combined with cultural activities every afternoon and on Saturdays. Classes are focused on enjoyable communication, including interesting outings and practical activities both in and outside the school. Cultural outings include some of Barcelona's best-known sights such as Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, the Gothic Quarter and the Picasso museum. Duration: 2 weeks, held on specific dates. Sample of a class: 9:00-10:30 How to make a restaurant reservation and order food, ask for directions (e.g. to the beach), book theatre tickets, request symphony season information and museum opening hours. 10:55-12:25 Practice: restaurant procedures, car rental. Visit a traditional market, attend a traditional fiesta, walk along the beach, visit hidden curiosities such as ancient neighbourhoods and shops. Sample of afternoon activities: · Monday: visit Park Güell · Tuesday: visit Sagrada Familia · Wednesday: visit casa Batllo · Thursday: visit La Pedrera · Friday: visit the cathedral and the Gothic Quarter · Monday: visit the Picasso museum · Tuesday: visit the Fundació Miró · Wednesday: visit Montjuïc castle · Thursday: visit the Palau de la Música · Friday: flamenco show + supper Samples of Saturday excursions: · visit the Dalí museum in Figueres or excursion to Montserrat mountain and monastery and the Codorniu wineries.
